HELLO PO-TAY-TERS!
IM COMING TO YOU ONE DAY EARLY TO SCREAM IN TO THE VOID!
Caps off baby. anyway last week was pretty gamey for me. Also happy end of August!
I finished Cult of the Lamb even with a bugged save. In the future I plan to play it again after they do some more patching. They also announced a road map with free new content sometime down the road and it sold 1 millions copies! Hopefully they put in some work after a well deserved rest. I even bought the soundtrack on this bad boy! My short review can be found here: https://steamcommunity.com/id/novibear/recommended/1313140?snr=1_5_9__402

Gamescom
Another surprising find was a demo that came up in Steams Gamescom promo page called Chained Echoes. This hit me hard in the nostalgia for earlier ps1 and ps2 sprite based JRPGs. The morale bare, and the characters were all pretty neat. the game will also feature customizable mobile suits more alike large knight armors. reminded me of the ones from white knight chronicles if anyone remembers that game. The other parts of it that had me grinning was the turtle racing displayed here:
I Instantly went and wish listed it at this point. The characters all seem pretty great especially the Scarlet Scoundrel who was an unapologetic thief and con artist.
My last amazing find also came to me from the Gamescom promo page was I Was a Teenage Exocolonist (IWATE). I immediately tried the demo then got mad because I just wanted to play the game… luckily it had literally came out just a few days earlier. So I checked my funds and took the plunge. I completed my first run in one sitting and damn it hit me pretty hard at times. The art and the music were great so I nabbed the soundtrack for it as well. I plan to do a few more runs as i suffered many casualties in my run and may need a guide as there are many endings.
I would recommended it for those who liked Chinese Parents (Review), Growing Up (Review), or older games like the Princess Maker series or even what I would consider as a parody Long Live The Queen (Review). Please note that IWATE is set in a darker space setting. Check the content warning before buying in case it has things that are a no fly zone for you.

I started playing Mafia III. Apparently I was upgraded to the Definitive Edition for some reason. Fine with me.. some free DLC. I'm like maybe halfway through the story and already beat one of the DLC stories. I heard you get some nice upgrades from the DLC so I started them as soon as they became available. I'll need to put it aside for a little bit though since I just got The Quarry from the library and I'm excited to try that one out.
I'm also still slowly making my way through The Witcher 3 on Switch. Such a fantastic game but so much game in there.
Now I need another game to mess around with.
Maybe this online mobile moba, WILD RIFT. Have you heard fo it?
