OF: POTIONOMICS is a lovely potion brewing/shop management/dating sim

I have been playing Potionomics since it launched this past Monday on October 17th, 2022. Apparently it was in the oven for 6 years! I got to try the demo just before it launched as well and I was hooked!

I love it so far! They really went all out on the animations the characters do in movement and facial expressions. Even the generic NPC’s have character!

Many will liken it to the Classic Recettear: An Item Shop’s Tale. As you start a business and are in MASSIVE DEBT! Also you can buy and ingredients and have adventures gather stuff for you too.

Luckily the loop hole is to just win the local competitions by preparing what’s requested ahead of time then defending your goods via the haggle card game you do when making normal sells.

So far its been a blast. I am nearing the second competition. I already have everything I need crafted I just need to work on friendship to upgrade my haggling deck.

BUT

Potionomics is missing some basic functions. Like I don’t know. A SORT BUTTON! currently as of writing this cannot sort by the total amount of mana in an ingredient. You will be making a ton of potions with a lot of different ingredients and its a mess. I am only in chapter 2 and I am already thrown off by the disorganization. As the game only has element filters for what is on an ingredient. You cannot exclude an element if you want to ignore ingredients with an element you need to save or don’t want messing up your ratio.

Besides that been playing my usual dailies and been kicking around the discord. Feel free to ask me about the game I highly recommend it even if you buy it while it is on sale and wait for some updates. They are rounding up some known bugs and planned some Quality of Life updates as well.
