Backlog

As the year is winding to a close I took up a challenge. Finish some of those damn games I started! Now there were some landmarks of progress. I finished my Xbox 360 backlog of exclusives I started years ago, namely Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey were all i had to dust off as I had beaten Tales of Vesperia just months before the NA Sony Complete edition dropped.

THANKSGIVING WAS BEST BY THE WAY!

Oh between all the mobile gacha I been playing.

A Strange bear appeared in Caravan Stories. We are playing catch up so it's likely from a Japanese promotion they skipped for us in North America. As we are our if the market.

The next thing I planned to tackle was my PS3 backlog but it’s a high bar of Drakendard 3, Ar no Surge, 3 Atelier Games… and RESONANCE OF FATE. It took some time to relearn where the hell I left off on those. Im near the end if Atelier Escha and Logy, I’m at the start of Drak3 and Ar no, and I’m in flipping Chapter 11 of RoF. Seeing as I was furthest in RoF I tried to relearn that games bonker system she mechanics. Shout out to this guy for making such a great guide.

I MADE PROGRESS ON A SUB QUEST ONCE BEEN STUCK ON FOR Nearly A DECADE. THEN IMMEDIATELY DROPPED THE GAME AGAIN. AS PIKMIN 4, THE bayonetta Prequel, and a Silent hope arrived… I got them for like less than 20 bucks a pop okay it was a good deal!

Anyway I also dropped those for another game I started ages ago… Rune Factory 5. It just feels gross to play and so unresponsive compared to the past 3d entries on ps3 and Wii but im gonna beat it dammit. I’m near the end of it I think. There’s like a portal to heaven and hell out by my farm.

Once that’s done assuming I don’t get side tracked by any co-op calls to arms like in Sun Haven, or the recently beaten My Time at Sandrock MP. Although my sister has been mentioning Grounded an awful lot. Who knows what will happen.

Any goals for the end of the year? Talk alligator yourselves.

Oh man, every time I feel like I make a dent into my backlog it gets built right back up. I made a big dent into my PS3 backlog during the beginning of the pandemic but haven't really played it as much recently. Now I'm on my Switch backlog as I still chip into my Xbox One here and there. Having Game Pass makes things better and worse for this. I'm not buying any new Xbox games but they randomly put games I want to play onto the service like Starfield. It doesn't help that the Switch game i'm playing is like an over 100 hour epic with Witcher 3 complete edition. Probably will have a bit more time to game this winter though as my weekends will probably be more free. I also have Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey in my Xbox backlog. Starting large RPGs like that just feels so daunting sometimes.

@peepso_user_35(RealmofDarthon) I beat one switch game, i think im gonna try to rotate consoles, so switch, ps3, pc, ps4/5. I am avoiding gamepass things and teh higher ps plus tier for that very reason.

USE a d••n guide if you ever start those two. they do not have those QoL where the f••k do i go next features.
