Hello Everyone! I took last week off and didn’t ask any one to cover for me.

In today’s OPEN FORUM I would like to do a Community Shout out!

It is to one of my long term gaming Hobbies. Ye Olde Farm Sim. The Harvest Moon, Story Of Season, and Rune Factory Community!

I had been a Member of theirs for awhile since I wanna say Rune Factory 1 or 2 possibly back to Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town on the Gameboy Advance. It was an older message forum board before its unfortunate closure and thankfully it was reborn in many forms from a Reddit, Discord, and we had Facebook page for the longest time as well and now a twitter all the way back to being a forum again.

If Friends of Mineral Town sounds familiar to you the series had a slight rebranding outside of Japan to Story Of Seasons due to legal or licensing reasons and stuff like that. If you were wondering why thing got weird on the Nintendo 3DS with their mine craft inspired spin off Harvest Moon lost valley yeah the switch happened around that time to Natsume owning the Harvest Moon name now.

Anyway that very Game has been remade in 3d for the Switch if you ever wanted to revisit an updated version of it.

Its available on Switch and Steam to my current knowledge. They also have a newer title called Pioneers of Olive Town. Which is rough around the edges but they are actively working on it.

Getting back in to the series got me to reconnect with the community via their discord but we also talk about other stuff there too.

Many of the great folks over there have been working on the Wiki for all the games and additional bits of information.
