Hiya Tay!
I’ve notice that I have gone back to a very delightful and also terrible habit. Watching game grumps on youtube. At the moment they are playing Dangonronpa. A game that I’ve played and enjoyed a lot. Warts and all. So watching their reactions to the crazy events within that game is amusing. But it has also started to make me watch a whole lot more Game grump videos in general. Not sure if I like it. I feel like I had a bad habit of wasting too much time with their videos before since it is pretty much an never ending amount of content these days. I wouldn’t say it is an addiction or anything. It just a bit lazy? I feel like a could have as much fun watching a documentary or a movie if I just spent some effort finding something I want to watch.
Strangely I never really feel this way when I am playing games. The only similar thing would be when back in the days when I was playing heartstone or World of warcraft. Grinding in those games is definitely dumb. Although it felt more like a sad addiction rather than the casual stupid fun I have with youtube videos. But otherwise I never really consider the games I play these days dumb. Vrchat might look dumb, because it is in some ways. But I do get a lot social interaction with it and other multiplayer games that would otherwise be a very lonely year. So I wouldn’t say what I do in it is dumb.
Anyway, here are some suggested topics for today:
- What would you consider dumb lazy entertainment? And what within that do you enjoy doing at the moment?
- Mention a game that you played a lot that you feel nothing for these days.
- Or talk about anything.
Get involved!

I don't watch YouTube personalities because I'm an old man who thinks the idea of watching someone else's opinion on stuff in order to make them rich, is the most ridiculous thing in the world. I'd rather form my own opinion. It's free and then I don't have to worry about YouTube's algorithm brainwashing me into a nazi either.
A bunch of shooters kind of fall in to this too. Dumb mindless fun killing enemies and making me feel like a bad ass super soldier.
I'm like halfway through AWE in Control and I'm happy I played Alan Wake first. I'm sure I wouldn't like it half as much if I didn't do that.
Also Bioshock on Switch looks and plays great. I can't believe you can play games like these on portable consoles now. We're living in the future.
