TAYste: Castle Milk Stout – Unparalleled Satisfaction

Personally, I love a good stout. They are malty, delicious beers that provide an unique flavor. Guinness is arguably the world’s most popular, however, I would argue that South African Breweries’ own Castle Milk Stout is right up there amongst the best.

Decembers here on the southern tip of Africa tend to be muggy and hot, but every other night you can expect reprieve thanks to steady rainfall. Tonight is one such night where the temperature drops hard and fast, necessitating a hearty and delicious beverage to warm the heart and soul.

Castle Milk Stout is not for the faint of heart. Weighing in at 6% alcohol by volume, it is the strongest out of SAB’s lineup, eclipsing the legendary Black Label while providing unparalleled warmth and satisfaction thanks to its chocolatey demeanor.

There may be many superior stouts in this world, but Castle Milk Stout will remain one of my best. It is a mainstay of the South African beer industry, regarded with the deepest respect by all those who have savored it’s unique nectar.

That’s it for this edition of TAYste – I hope you will share your favorite TAYste in the comments below!

I love a good milk stout. Always in the mood to try new things too. I think the best one I've had in the US is from Left Hand Brewing Company
