Weekend Fun: Writing Prompt

Your prompt comes from a thought I had the other day while reading Cable:

Time Travel is possible but every time you jump you lose as many years off your natural lifespan as years traveled (one way, so a return jaunt would cost 2x the years). You’re 3 years into a global catastrophe.

Write a short story based on that writing prompt. Go ahead and submit your entries in the comments below. There’s no contest or prize this is just for fun…unless people want it to be for a prize. I DO love prizes….but for now it’s just for fun!

I am sorry this response may be no fun at all.
Even if I had the means to time travel the cost is too great! For I know not how much time I have left shambling around this accursed reality. I also worry no matter when or where in time I travel to and that I myself would only be hastening my demise. So I think I am going to take that whole moral of the story of if you speed so much time looking forward to the future or trapped reminding in the past will you regret that you never fully realized or used your time in the present?

Thanks for coming to my TedxTay talk.

To be honest i don’t like those odds and I certainly wouldn’t be going back since I’d have to relive 2020 and I’m not about that life.

Technically speaking, to travel backwards in time you’d have to travel faster than light and in theory you’d age backwards but still reliving 2020 makes it so unworth that I’d still rather not
