Open Forum: I beat Sun Haven and started Remnant 2

No clickbait headline here.

Crazy I know, actually beating games in 2023? More likely than you think. Actually now that I think about it I am not sure how many games I beat this year so far. Let me try to get a quick estimate.

Sun Haven is probably the only steam game I beat this year. I don’t think I beat anything on the Nintendo Switch this year so far. As for PlayStation I beat Dead Island 2, The Division 2, Super Bullet Break. Super Bullet Break is the only single player game I beat this year. The rest have all been co-op.

Maybe just having someone to play with and share in the experience is a big motivation factor for me now?

Remnant 2

Remnant 2 is fun so far. It’s like Dark Souls but with guns, but less annoying. When you die you don’t drop anything. You level up from just fighting no farming then dying and losing all your souls possibly if you die again on your way rushing back to claim your corpse’ souls. Remnant 2 also has difficulty settings that also reward you for clearing them. Rem2 can be played solo offline or with up to to a party of three players with open matchmaking or friends only.

It is an actual direct sequel as well. I do not fill too lost in the story though as I played the first one but did not beat it. Also a big change from the first Remnant is that it is a bit randomized or procedurally generated. The Biome you start in may not be the same as your friends. I started in a jungle ruins type place, whereas my brothers started in a derelict space ship/planet? Some bosses have a few different outcomes that change what drop you get and what you can then craft from that boss fight depending on a dialog choice or also how fast you can beat them before something happens.

What else?

Oh also I started another run of Sun Haven. This time I am trying to be a magic focus Fire elemental. My sister is trying to focus on Ranching and raising animals for money and ingredients as we only did the bare minimum with them last time.

Other than that just doing my usual mobiles and MMOs for a little bit every day after work.
