HOW DO YOU OR HOW ARE YOU PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE?
Don’t panic! Future only hosts one day a week. Just kidding he’s great. Let’s talk about our futures!
One of my new focuses has been trying to get my finances in order. I have personally had to be involved in my parents retirement financial meeting reviews. It seems like so much to handle and deal with. Unfortunately things are not looking great despite them having worked my entire life span 30+ years.
This made me kickstart looking in to mine. As I have finally had a steady job for 3+ years now. I know some of my money is going to some sort of retirement account but not exactly where. So I began the Journey to get help for that.
I started with a ton of articles, reddit, forum, google posts and it was all extremely overwhelming. Eventually I ended up on a service that did like a free survey and gave me a list of places to try and contact.
I ended up going with Facet Wealth and I am giving them a try. This is not anything sponsored just saying what I am doing to maybe inspire some of you to think about what you want to do.
I have a few simple goals, get an emergency fund, think about best way to repay my student loans. and finally how to actually build my retirement thingy so I am not going to be in a bind like my parents. So yeah Wish me luck on that journey. The only things I can say I have hands down covered is budgeting, saving, and managing my credit card which I only have one of with an iron grip.
So how about you folks?

I'd say the biggest one right now if my wedding in the fall. Maybe a little mini-moon afterwards since actual travel isn't happening for now.
**Anything you saving up for?**
See above!

My dad is an accountant so I think the short answer is yes. I probably could be set up better as it took a little bit of time but when you get a job in your early 20's and start making money you sometimes want to spend it. I'm definitely more careful with my money now and looking more towards the future.
I finished Assassin's Creed II! What a ride. I can see why this is one of the highly regarded entries in the series. I'll probably start Brotherhood sometime soon to try and keep up a little of the momentum but for now it's on to MLB The Show 21 and Cyberpunk 2077. I started both and what a jump in from and old PS3 game to this generation. I haven't played The Show since 09 on my PS3 so this is a large jump in terms of graphics and gameplay. It's awesome playing a baseball game again. I'm like 45 minutes into Cyberpunk so far which I guess isn't even a third of the way through the prologue but so far so good.
And hey, it's even kinda related!
Thanks Novi
