TAY: Open Forum – I Remember

Memories are wonderful things. They help us remember stuff! Mine seems to fail me more and more often. Maybe I have some sort of deficiency, or something.

I remembered something when I opened TAY2 today, and that was how I used to come here all the time to read interesting articles written by passionate gamers about their most beloved things. No corporate, sponsored or precisely formatted posts. I am an avid reader, so I kind of miss those creative and inspiring articles that were often off the wall.

It felt kind of nostalgic seeing DoctorKev’s post about Evangelion, as I had not known that it came out already. I used to get a lot of news from TAY like that.

I know we may never relive those glory days, but it’s still great to read some creative and interesting pieces that find their way here even if it’s not every day. It’s nice to remember why I’m a part of this community, even if things have changed and slowed down over the years.

Anyway, time for some questions!

**What is one of your fondest memories of TAY?**
Probably posting about doing Extra Life and having some of the TAY posters show up and chat with me during those 24 hours and even donate some money to the cause. I've done some streaming and some people here usually come out to watch when I did.

**Name a video game character with a terrible memory?**
That's a good question. I can't really think of one at the moment. I'll come back and edit or reply to this if I do

**How do you help yourself remember things?**
I make notes in my phone. I don't trust myself to remember important things so it's filled with notes and reminders.

New Pokemon Snap came out with some free DLC and it's been interesting. You shrink down and now can take photos of giant Pokemon and you also can fit into some interesting places to get to new routes to see things happening from another angle. I wasn't expecting free DLC for the game and it's been pretty awesome so far.

It's always nice when games get free DLC, I don't think many people were expecting DLC for SwSh and honestly I think they should have been free. Anyway, that Snap DLC does sound quite neat. Maybe if I can get it at a discount, I might actually pull the trigger on Snap.

@peepso_user_16(Stray) I still need to play Sword. Got it as a gift at some point but haven't dove into it yet. Ya, Snap is fun but not $60 fun in my opinion. It's tough for me to gauge since I'm borrowing it for free but I know for sure I wouldn't pay full price for it.

I cannot think of a single best moment besides maybe the first interaction between me and Shardik in the same thread.
