We’re nearly about one-third of the way through the year! More than a hundred days in! Thinking about those facts is catching me by surprise, because at least from my point of view, it doesn’t feel like all that much time has passed.
It’s definitely not been like March of 2020, that’s for sure. That one month–that one specific month out of all months–felt like it dragged on FOREVER. Something about the prospect of dealing with a global pandemic not quite settling in as a constant long-term fact of life, I guess.
Enough of that heavier stuff being tossed off with an attempt at light-heartedness, though. We’re one-third of the way through this year, and that feels arbitrarily significant enough to declare CHECKPOINT! So for today, let’s collect ourselves and take stock.

Can't really complain. Still working from home which I love. I'll be fully vaccinated in a little over a week which I'll then spend the first few days dogsitting so that'll be fun. Wedding planning is going well. I get to play a Sony game and a game that was extremely broken at launch on my Xbox One X so that's pretty awesome.
**What is the next third of your year looking like?**
I'm looking forward to the summer. We'll see how things go with vaccinations but they are trying to open up NYC in July. Hopefully getting some time to enjoy the weather.
**What’s been striking your fancy–entertainment-wise, hobby-wise, life event-wise, otherwise–this year?**
I've been loving HBO showing all of the WB movies the same day they go to theaters. I'm still not ready to return to the theater but being able to watch the movies at home is awesome. Also I'm deep into MLB: The Show 21 and Cyberpunk 2077 so that will be taking up my video game time for the foreseeable future.
**What is your favorite course from a racing game?**
This is an extremely hard question. I may default back to Rainbow Road from Super Mario Kart on SNES just because it is such a classic. Though some games now don't actually have course because the one I played the most lately has been Forza Horizon 2 which is just a large map of England.
