It is whenever times end up being so trying, however, that we’ve especially got to take stock of the things that bring us relief and joy. What I, as a United States resident, would call “the mail,” the British instead refers to it as “the post.” I just love this so much, even moreso when I imagine it being said in an English accent. It’s got such an adorable ring to it!
Releasing Wednesdays on a biweekly basis, Todd (of Todd in the Shadows) and Alina Morgan’s Song Vs. Song is essentially the only podcast which I regularly keep up with these days. And this Wednesday’s episode was a doozy: Not only this year’s Christmas-themed episode, but a full-on Beatles throwdown–Lennon vs. McCartney!!–as they pitted John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” against Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime” in an hour of discussions.
A couple of days ago, right before November ended, we got our first sight of snow. Not like the picture above, for better or worse–after becoming a car owner with adult responsibilities and shit, I have a lot more “worse” in my point of view–but instead quite possibly the lightest, thinnest dusting of snowflakes I’d ever witnessed.

Lately, I am realizing (for not the first time, surely) that I am a creature who’s often influenced by whatever turns out to be the latest curiosity that he’s come across, given that said curiosity is something that he was previously into.
It may very well be difficult to remember, but eons ago last month, the newest James Bond 007 film, No Time to Die, finally released to theaters, following a six-year gap between now and the last one. And having still not seen it, it nonetheless sparked my latest resurgence of abnormally high interest in the whole James Bond enterprise.
