It is whenever times end up being so trying, however, that we’ve especially got to take stock of the things that bring us relief and joy. For me, a major source of such positive vibes ended up being those functionally useless yet arguably entertaining and/or hilarious things that we call “memes” or whatever it is that goes “viral.”
It’s the day before the day before Christmas: The day before Christmas Eve: “Christmas Eve” Eve! I took this whole week off from work; it’s been quite nice.
Releasing Wednesdays on a biweekly basis, Todd (of Todd in the Shadows) and Alina Morgan’s Song Vs. Song is essentially the only podcast which I regularly keep up with these days. And this Wednesday’s episode was a doozy: Not only this year’s Christmas-themed episode, but a full-on Beatles throwdown–Lennon vs. McCartney!!–as they pitted John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” against Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime” in an hour of discussions.
